The Valley Collection was inspired by a trip Douglas and I took to Banff, Canada last October. I was blown away by the beauty of the valleys we had to traverse before reaching the summits. It was not lost on me that this is exactly what happens in our own lives. There are hard seasons of waiting in the valley, but no matter what our valley looks like, there is beauty to be found if we look for it.

Whether you are in a season of life that feels like a valley or you’re at the peak, at some point you will be in the valley again. These paintings are peacefully encouraging you that your Valley holds purpose, that there is beauty in the waiting.

This original painting on paper was plein air painted in the Canadian Rockies. Each piece was created with charcoal and water based media on paper. It is a 5x7 matted to an 8x10.

Each piece is signed and titled on the back, and varnished for protection.
